The Tripout

Again sorry I’ve not been around for a while the blog site stopped being Moble friendly I’m just trying out another way around it 

This and family/work life getting in the way  too!

Saying that I did get a outing to the tripout show under the pretence out a family trip 

The show was absolutely awesome with some really cool bikes cool dudes and dudettes 

Very laid-back show and definitely worth a visit 

There was a lot of Dutch and German guys over to the close proximity to harwich which was great to see what are friends across the drink are doing 

Met an awesome guy called beer more about him later

Quick bit on Rich my mate the sprayer aka the scarlet pimpernel
Rich originally in the army in the royal engineers taught himself to spray
And for a number of years sprayed cars as a profession
Now does bikes as a hobbie

Rich has helped with a number of projects from a frenched in framed z1000 with glitter green bodywork

Rich has recently helped me with my Sportster  after some paint chipping on the tank by accident while in the workshop being fixed

 Called into see a old friend Clive the other day now that hes moved into his own place
before he was sharing with another builder and wasnt getting the kudos he should have for some of the amazing work he's been carrying out 

 The standard of the work that is being done is outstanding from truly awesome custom made hande bars to complete builds proper top notch workmanship

 Clives one of the nicest guys you could meet whos always got time for you with some great ideas and a great sense of humour

here we have some of the bikes hes working on at the moment  the kawsaki is nearly there he was trying to get it ready for a show i should really call in again to see how he did

It's been a while !

Got the engine soda blasted by a guy called Russell out in teighngrace 07967 948667 bloody top bloke and very knowledgeable but more about him another time 

Had a go at painting the engine myself come out pretty good considering  got the paint from the paint shop Newton Abbott a family run firm who take the time to help you with finding the right paint and the right colour trust me they have a lot of patience 

It's been a while since my last post as I've been busy helping others with there bikes it got to a point that I decided I needed to get on with my bike first so that's what I've been up to

Just across the yard from pete is Andy who epitomises what this blogs about  those who are carrying out some of the greatest work around but don't shout about it.Up to abit of aluminium welding

Andy doesn't  just fix and build stuff andys greatest gift is that helps and teaches others how to do it from bead blasting to respraying,ultrasonic cleaning to welding andy seams to have time for everyone that calls in,as we all know in this world these days this is a very rare quality.

This probably sums up andy the best.

Here's a few more pictures of pete and the work he carries out ,Pete doesn't only do exhaust he'll build you custom aluminium fuel tanks body panels and seat units.

This including any stainless work eg crash bars luggage racks and sissy bars
